Melissa received her Master of Science degree in Reading from SUNY Albany and her Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY. Melissa is no stranger to Crossroads. Prior to spending the past several years raising her two boys, Melissa was one of the "founding teachers" of Crossroads Center for Children in 1998. She has several years of experience working in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA). She worked as a Special Education Teacher, in classrooms, as an Individualized Programming Teacher, as a home therapist and most recently as an educational consultant providing staff training and feedback. She has also had experience working for Wildwood, BOCES and Center for Disability Services.
She has worked with children of all ages, including Early Intervention students through school age students. In May 2008, Melissa accepted the position of Director of Education and has returned to Crossroads on a full-time basis.
