EARLY INTERVENTION
The Early Intervention classroom at Crossroads Center for Children serves children from their age at diagnosis as a child with a disability up to three years of age. This program offers full week or partial day/week enrollment and opportunities for integration. The full day program operates for five and one-half hours per day, Monday through Friday. Students receive a balance of individualized instruction and small group instruction. All of the programs are unique and designed to meet each child's specific needs. However, all children have academic, speech and language, art, music, gym, self-help, and social goals. In light of the intensity of the instruction and supervision provided, the Early Intervention room assigns no more than two students per staff member.

Crossroads Center for Children has an open door policy to encourage parents to observe their child while in program. The program also encourages parents to visit school for parent trainings. Parents can watch their child participate in related services sessions as well as daily classroom activities. At the same time therapists will teach parents the skills necessary to implement programs. This carryover promotes the generalization of skills. Our students also attend field trips a few times each year.
