CAROLYN J. SNIEZYK, MS. BCBA
Clinical Director

Carolyn has been working with individuals of all ages diagnosed with Autism and other developmental disabilities for approximately ten years. Her first experience with this population was during her undergraduate years at Queens College. During this time she was employed by QSAC (Quality Services for the Autism Community) a non-profit organization dedicated to providing services to persons with autism spectrum disorder throughout New York City and Long Island. She was employed at an after school program and within the homes of children serviced by the agency. During her employment at QSAC she was exposed to techniques of applied behavior analysis. Carolyn received her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Environmental Science from Queens College in 2002.

Shorty thereafter, she began pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Community Psychology from Sage Graduate School. In conjunction with taking courses to complete the Master of Arts degree, she also took courses through Sage Graduate School to fulfill requirements to sit for the board certification in behavior analysis exam. During this time she was employed by Crossroads. Carolyn has filled many roles within this agency from teaching assistant, to research assistant, and Director of Home-Based Services. Carolyn completed her Master of Arts degree in Community Psychology in 2004 and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst in 2005.

Consequent to completing her Master of Arts degree she was hired as the Children Services Manager for Fulmont Community Action Agency- Head Start, in Amsterdam New York. She was responsible for the timely screening and referral of preschool, economically disadvantaged children living in Fulton and Montgomery Counties. She was also responsible for advocating for families and assisting families with the evaluation process, the Committee on Preschool Special Education, and provision of services. Throughout her employment at Fulmont- Head Start, she pursued a Master of Science in Educational Psychology from the State University of New York at Albany.

Most recently, Carolyn has completed the Master of Science in Educational Psychology and is the Clinical Director for Crossroads Center for Children. She has conducted and presented research at various state and national conferences including the New York State Association for Behavior Analysis, the Association for Behavior Analysis International, and Behavior Analysis and Developmental Disabilities.
